Memoria gr\u00e1fica de Tudanca es un libro de fotograf\u00eda y etnograf\u00eda \u00a0que recoge una selecci\u00f3n fotogr\u00e1fica y testimonios que retratan la vida rural, las costumbres, el paisaje y el ocaso del siglo XX en el municipio de Tudanca y el entorno del valle del Nansa.<\/p>\n

SOBRE EL AUTOR \/ William A. Christian Jr.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Es un destacado antrop\u00f3logo e historiador de las religiones estadounidense e investigador independiente. Es ampliamente reconocido por sus minuciosos estudios sobre el catolicismo y la religiosidad popular en el sur de Europa, con un enfoque muy especial en la historia de Espa\u00f1a desde la Edad Media hasta la \u00e9poca contempor\u00e1nea. En 1986, su brillante trayectoria fue galardonada con la prestigiosa Beca MacArthur.<\/p>\n

A finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1960, se traslad\u00f3 a Cantabria para realizar su tesis doctoral en el valle del Nansa. Convivi\u00f3 estrechamente con los habitantes de pueblos como Tudanca y Polaciones, lo que le permiti\u00f3 no solo estudiar sus creencias de primera mano, sino tambi\u00e9n recopilar la tradici\u00f3n oral local de las trovas.<\/p>\n
